Appearance

COLOR: Burlwood’s color and grain pattern sets the tone for some creativity in your decorating motif. The swirling mixture of browns and tans with dashes of dark chocolate brings to mind a whirlwind effect that belies the “braided look” of this flooring material.*

GRAIN: Burlwood’s composition is exactly what the name implies: burly…a braided pattern with random knot-like twists in the grain.

DURABILITY: Our Strand Woven floors are hard and stable enough to use in both commercial and residential applications. They are also very suitable for installation directly over a concrete sub‐floor given that it meets moisture level requirements.

The Green Story of Strand Woven Bamboo

Green Choice Bamboo is made from the well-managed Moso bamboo forests of China. This bamboo can be harvested every 5-7 years without replanting because of an extensive root system that sends up new shoots for decades. Using all FSC manufacturing processes, our partners in China have produced an incredible flooring product that is not only ecologically correct, using almost 90% of the bamboo grass, but is also gorgeous and unbelievably durable.
